A.E.A. was founded by Ty and Nicole Amey to serve as a proactive support agency for parents looking to successfully navigate our educational system. Ty and Nicole have spent years advocating for children and families as they have fought for F.A.P.E. Their law firm, the Law Offices of Nicole Hodge Amey, has successfully assisted 100’s of children in attaining the services needed for theme to access their education. With A.E.A. Ty and Nicole will help more families successfully advocate for and participate in their child’s education. By using their legal experience, classroom experience and genuine appreciation for the value of a good education, Ty and Nicole provide consultation, education and guidance to assist families in using education to prepare their child for the path.

Nicole Amey
Nicole Amey is a graduate of CSU Long Beach and Golden Gate Law School. As the daughter of a special education teacher, Nicole was immediately drawn to assisting those that struggled to help themselves. For over a decade, Nicole has been fighting for the educational civil rights of children and those that advocate for them. During this time Nicole has learned the ins and outs of education in public schools, private schools, and even homeschooling. Nicole uses this knowledge to educate families on how to successfully navigate the education system.
As a proven experience litigator, Nicole brings a detailed and meticulous approach to providing consulting and developing solutions for her clients. Nicole’s genuine love of education and children shows in her passionate approach to advocating for and consulting parents about their child’s educational needs.
Ty Amey
Ty Amey is a West Point graduate who is also the son of a teacher. After graduation his military career was cut short do to injury and he went into the corporate sector serving in management positions in manufacturing, sales and distribution. Ty then took his leadership and business experience and began consulting before taking over the operations at the Law Offices of Nicole Hode Amey.
As a proven and experienced leader and coach, Ty uses proven problem solving tools and methods to analyze information and develop S.M.A.R.T. solutions. Ty also possesses excellent communication and presentation skills that make A.E.A.’s training effective, efficient and entertaining!
